When I was with Project Firefly, I had the opportunity to illustrate a children's book (with Bob Stanton, who provided the wonderful color) based on a story by Kermit Weeks, about vintage aircraft at his Fantasy of Flight attraction in Polk County, Florida. To call it an "attraction" is an understatement - it's an amazing facility that celebrates the dreams and achievements of flight.The website is http://www.fantasyofflight.com/. It was definitely a lot of fun to work on this book, and I learned quite a bit. Taking reference pictures while flying in a biplane added to the thrill, as well!
