Student film - Matterhorn

One of my student films, from 20 years ago. I'd love to finish animating it someday; a good majority of it is still storyboards, and the sound and video quality is poor. I just wanted to make a fun tribute to my favorite thrill ride - the only one both conceived of and ridden by Walt himself, back in 1959. The Abominable Snowmonster, added in 1979, was nicknamed "Harold" by the Cast Members.

This is sort of a "what if..." type of thing.

Roo sequence

This was a fun dramatic sequence I got to board back in 2004, for "Pooh's Heffalump Halloween".

storyboards

These are some of the storyboards I did while at Project Firefly, for "Pooh's Heffalump Halloween", back in 2004. John Hurst and I boarded a majority of the film (direct to DVD).

Tink boards

This is some storyboard work I did for an early version of "The TinkerBell Movie" back in 2005. The film franchise has been quite successful and is very beautifully animated, in my opinion.

Storyboards

Not long after Disney's Florida animation studio closed, I was very fortunate to be hired at Project Firefly, a small, local studio which was started by fellow former Disney animation artists. The ironic thing is that a big percentage of the work we did was still for Disney, and there were so many opportunities for professional growth. For example, I storyboarded some sequences in "Cinderella III", the direct-to-DVD sequel, as well as early versions of the "TinkerBell" movie, and along with John Hurst (now with Blue Sky), about 75% of "Pooh's Heffalump Halloween". I'm very grateful for the three years I had there, and all the experience and friendships it provided.

Storyboards

Back in 2004, shortly after the closing of the Florida studio, I was given the opportunity to storyboard at Project Firefly, a local start-up studio of former Disney artists. The first project was "Pooh's Heffalump Halloween", a direct-to-DVD film, followed by "The Tinkerbell Movie" and "Cinderella III". Working in a smaller studio was a great way to learn new skills, and it was certainly a lot of fun.
